Playing in December at the Imaginarium

Join us to celebrate the holiday season at Hokulani Imaginarium in December

Friday December 2
7pm Season of Light . . . .
is a family friendly, visually rich show about the darkest time of year, winter. The show explains why we have seasons and traces the origins of many of the world’s most enduring customs from Christmas trees, the Hanukkah Menorah, and Santa to the Star of Bethlehem.

8:15pm Stars-Powerhouses of the Universe
immerses you in the amazing story of stars. Every star has a story. Some are as old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created every day. Journey to the farthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of STARS.

Wednesday December 12 - 7pm Stargazing
Join the ever engaging and entertaining presenter/storyteller Krissie Kellogg  as she takes you on a tour of the starry night sky in the Imaginarium.

1pm Season of Light
For those who did not kick off the holiday season with this show, we reprise it since it is a family favorite for many of our patrons who return year after year to see this show. For many of our patrons it has become a family tradition. The show explains why we have seasons and traces the origins of many of the world’s most enduring customs from Christmas trees, the Hanukkah Menorah, and Santa to the Star of Bethlehem.

2:15pm Star of Bethlehem: the Magi’s Story
Flat Rate $5
Produced by our own Dr. Joe Ciotti and narrated by Billy V, Star of Bethlehem explores some of the astronomical possibilities for the Star that guided Wise Men to Bethlehem.  The show also recounts the story of the Wise Men–who they were, where they came from and why a Star could so entice them to embark on such a journey to a foreign place.

Have you ordered your Hokulani Imaginarium coloring book stocking stuffers yet??

Hokulani Imaginarium is offering for sale the “Star Story Coloring Book” featuring six star stories from Hawaii, China and Korea. These star stories are featured on the Imaginarium website as well as at the Imaginarium.
