Cosmic Ray Detector

WCC operates a cosmic ray and muon detector that supports the QuarkNet program operated through FermiLab. The detector consists of four scintillators that can be spaced aparat are predesignated distances. Cosmic ray flux is verified when the scintillators register simultaneous events. Otherwise, the flux is treated as incoming noise.
